Niels Erik Petersen

During his almost 40 years in research, corporate finance and asset management, Niels’ focus has always been on finding new and better ways to understand the ever-changing financial markets as well as on finding solutions to the complex challenges that these markets provide. It is therefore part of our very DNA at Petersen & Partners, to continue this focus for the benefit of our clients.

Prior to founding Petersen & Partners Investment Management A/S, Niels was CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Unipension Investment Management.

He has also previously held positions as Head of Equities at ATP, Head of Research (equities and fixed income) at Danske Bank, as well as senior positions in Corporate Finance at Enskilda and Danske Bank.   Niels has successfully built and managed teams of highly skilled investment professionals in several of these prior positions.

Niels acted as a board member and chairman of the Danish Finance Society for 10 years as well as a member of the board of UN PRI for 6 years.

Niels holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School with a major in finance and psychology complimented with studies from IMD.

Niels has worked with Petersen & Partners since 2017.
